Sacred Roots
A Visual History of PalestineDescription
What better way to learn the history of Palestine than by listening to a historical lecture on its deep-rooted heritage?
In a place where the existence of Palestinians poses a threat to oppressors, it’s admirable that the land is still standing today.
Just like a tree, the charm of resilience is never about the number of fragrant flowers on the leaves. The enduring strength and resilience lies in the roots. Despite the cracks, tears and tumbles, it still lives to tell the tale.
Palestine is a clear example on how one place can witness the horrors of the past and present and yet remain firmly rooted.
“O believers! Patiently endure, persevere, stand on guard and be mindful of Allah, so you may be successful.” (Surah Ali ‘Imran, 3:200)
It is when we reflect on history, that we can create a better future for the ummah.
🌳 Remember that it’s the roots that give strength to a tree, not its branches.
