Balance, Boundaries & Bravery
The Journey of the Modern MuslimahDescription
Historically speaking, it has never been simple to live as a woman.
As modern Muslimahs, it feels like walking on a tightrope between the dunya and the akhirah.
Society tells women to be modest but also confident. Present but not overpowering. Commandering but not at the expense of anyone’s comfort.
Balancing on this tightrope feels like a demanding task. Perhaps our speaker, Maryam Lemu can ease your mind in her talk.
Here are some things we can learn at her talk:
🧕 Managing roles in faith, family, career, and community involvement without compromising values
🧕 Navigating self-respect and Islamic guidelines in a world that often pressures women to overextend
🧕 Upholding Islamic identity with dignity and confidence in diverse environments
🧕 Social expectations, stereotypes, and balancing tradition with progress
🧕 Drawing strength from the Qur’an, sunnah, and to thrive as a Muslimah in the modern world
We hope to see you there!
