From Jerusalem to Makkah
Description
Learning to obey is like a child tracing letters and spelling words before understanding them, with the meaning unfolding only over time.
Sometimes, comprehension comes through the act of obedience, not before it.
There was a time when the believers turned toward Masjid al-Aqsa in prayer until a divine command from the Almighty changed everything:
“So turn your face towards the Sacred Mosque ˹in Mecca˺—wherever you are, turn your faces towards it…” (Surah Al-Baqarah 2:144)
Perhaps faith and obedience are about trusting that what He prohibits is for our protection and what He commands is for our own good, even when the reason is yet to be understood.
Join Ustadh Nouman Ali Khan as we journey From Jerusalem to Makkah, reflecting on the core wisdom in submitting to His commands and recognizing that all directions belong to Him.
