The World of the Unseen
Tapping into the Mysteries of the DivineDescription
Have you ever wondered about the nature of our souls? Or how our journey after death would unfold?
In Islam, these are categorised as Al-Ghayb, or the unseen. This concept encompasses what cannot be perceived by the human eye, and is a pillar of faith within the religion.
But why are we required to believe in the things that we can’t perceive?
As believers, we put our faith in Allah (s.w.t.), even when we cannot perceive Him. We don’t see Him with our eyes, but we know of Him through His revelations.
Thus, rejecting faith in the unseen is equivalent to rejecting the very existence of Allah (s.w.t.).
Allah (s.w.t.) mentions in the Qur’an,
“This is the Book! There is no doubt about it—a guide for those mindful ˹of Allah˺, who believe in the unseen, establish prayer, and donate from what We have provided for them. It is they who are ˹truly˺ guided by their Lord, and it is they who will be successful.” [Al-Baqarah 2-5]
Yet, as the unseen is not within the realm of our five senses, it’s not easy to fathom them. We may have questions unanswered about the mysteries of the other world.
Shall we dive deeper into this topic?
Open your eyes on the unseen aspects of life and existence in The World of the Unseen: Tapping into the Mysteries of the Divine by Shaykh Belal Assaad.
